What You Will Do In Your Role

• Train field personnel to perform testing, troubleshooting, inspections and if needed repairs for electrical and mechanical systems on operating utility scale PV power plant tracker systems
• Serve as the primary point of contact with tracker manufacturers for matters that include but are not limited to general system knowledge, troubleshooting, repairs, spare parts, software/firmware change management, and general operations & maintenance
• Implement statistical KPIs to quantify and evaluate system performance, uncertainties, availability enabling efforts to develop pareto charts and compare vendors to one another
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including the coordination and acceptance of commissioning activities and supporting the O&M team with preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and accurate documentation of issues
• Lead in the development of tracker technical documentation for Commissioning and O&M, including revision control.
• Work closely with the Performance Engineering team to ensure that tracker systems are operating as expected and energy yields are maximized
• Leverage solar technician’s skills and capabilities to efficiently complete commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure efficient workflows and bring suggestions to management to improve process and procedures as needed

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

• Experience with tracker systems

• Experience with managing and coordinating with the original equipment manufacturers, suppliers, subcontractors, employees, and any other internal or external stakeholders

• Experience with researching, developing, and understanding equipment manuals and operations guides in order to develop site operations and maintenance manuals, checklists, and procedures

• Experience with demonstrated competence and practical knowledge of trackers, tracker systems, communication, alarming, instrumentation, and tracker safety systems

• Experience in troubleshooting electrical/mechanical issues
