Compassion Funeral Service is Northern Illinois’ largest mortuary trade service. We offer a full range of services to support our clients’ businesses. These services include removals, embalming, livery services, funeral lead and assistance, cremation, and much more. We work with a highly diverse group of clients across an eight-county service area around Chicagoland.

Where We Are Located:
Compassion Funeral Service operate primarily in the following eight (8) counties around Chicagoland: McHenry County,Cook County,Lake County, Kane County, Boone County,DeKalb County, DuPage County, and Winnebago County.

Full Time Employment Benefits:
Full-Time Definition: Full Time Employment with Compassion Funeral Service requires three (3) days a week. We operate on a twenty-four hour block schedule similar to that of a firefighter or police officer (7am or 7pm shift change). For the particularly motivated professional, we offer the option to pick up shifts or move to a four-day schedule.

Team members do not actively work during the full duration of each shift. We operate on a rotating schedule with three funeral directors on during the day and three during the evening . We offer flexible scheduling and actively maintain a warm, welcoming, and collaborative company culture. We welcome newcomers, both to the field and to trade specifically. Given the structure of our organization, there is some variability in income mostly defined by individual capacity; wages for a full time licensed funeral director and embalmer with us typically range between $72,000 and $96,000, but can enter into six figures for driven colleagues once established.
