OUR MISSION:
Goodwill Industries of Tulsa, Inc. provides work opportunities, job training and support services for people with disabilities or other employment barriers.
JOB SUMMARY::
To provide coordination, creativity, and resources for appropriate learning/development programs to increase employee performance by assessing, planning, developing, implementing, evaluating, maintaining and managing assigned programs necessary to meet company strategic objectives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: :
Oversee and manage all assigned training activities within the organization.
Consult and partner with both in-house (management, supervisors and employees) and with expert third parties (GII), to identify training needs and trends within the organization.
Work collaboratively with Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) within the company to identify training needs and trends, complete needs analysis; develop and validate training content, methods and materials and ensure effective transfer of learning.
Design industry-standard learning solutions which includes a blended approach to learning such as classroom training, e-learning, coaching, and experiential learning.
Research emerging industry trends, new technologies, concepts and techniques to update current training curriculum as appropriate.
Coordinate the development and maintenance of training schedules with hiring and training demands to ensure timely delivery of training.
Ensure the design and delivery of training includes consideration for varied learning styles and makes accommodation, when necessary, for learners with disabilities.
Facilitate partnerships with departmental representatives to identify and meet training needs which maximize employee performance and meet company strategic objectives.
Design, maintain, and create with input from others, computer-based training modules using industry-standard authoring tools.
Design and create with input from others instructional aides, handouts and presentation materials including audio-visual products.
Oversee the creation, selection and/or development of teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.
Develop and deploy new and revised courses and create assessment tools to evaluate training effectiveness and make adjustments as necessary.
Identify (or create) and maintain a Learning Management System (LMS) which includes learner records administration and training products.
Monitor training results that include tracking information, costs, and effectiveness of company training programs.
Cross train staff as needed for classroom, computer based and other training methods and provide Train-the-Trainer opportunities to include SME’s as Trainers when appropriate.
Remain current with operational changes and developments within the company and oversee updates or improvements with curriculum.
Manage the training budget and seek cost-effective options for training delivery.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge base by reviewing professional publications and participating in professional societies.
Assist in driving and coordinating all of the organization’s rewards and recognition programs
Reports activities in area of responsibility to the Vice President, People Services monthly.
Reviews and is familiar with Company safety policies, programs and procedures. Adheres to all safety rules, regulations and safety codes, and attends safety training sessions and safety meetings. Maintains current certifications in First Aid and CPR and administers First Aid and CPR as required.

Stay current on trends in the field of training and development.
Proficiency in E-Learning development software and audio-visual tools, Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Other duties as assigned.
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS: :
Must be 21 years of age.
Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License, with a good driving record.
Must maintain appropriate requirements for legal vehicle operation including current automobile insurance and license plates.
Must be eligible for positive outcome on required State of Oklahoma criminal conviction background check.
Maintains confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA regulations.
Must maintain compliance with Goodwill’s Drug and Alcohol Abuse Policy.
Goodwill considers this a safety sensitive position because it includes tasks or duties that Goodwill reasonably believes could affect the safety and health of the employee or others.
Must be able to interact with a diverse population.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: :
Bachelor’s degree required. Experience in training and development with a concentration in adult learning techniques, instructional design, or a related discipline.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: :
Talking, hearing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, balancing, reaching, handling, hand and finger dexterity, feeling, seeing and accommodation.
Lifting/Carrying/Pushing/Pulling: Light Work — Lifting 25 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
