Greenberg Traurig (GT) a global law firm, is seeking a 2-6 year U.S. admitted Associate to support Tech Transactions and Commercial Contracting. Key components of the job include redlining and negotiating agreements, typically in the tech space, for our cutting-edge client base. The associate will also work within the firm to develop templates and negotiation playbooks. Excellent drafting skills are a must. Must have the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
We are open to remote applicants but have a preference to those residing in Denver, Salt Lake City or Phoenix who can maintain a hybrid schedule.
GT has the largest legal footprint in the United States and the Associate will have the opportunity to work with clients, large and small, from variety of industries across the country and internationally.
Skills & Competencies:
The expected annualized base salary range for this position is $190,000 to $225,000. Salary will be determined based upon experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401K, vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program. Additional voluntary programs include: voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary long term care, voluntary critical illness and cancer insurance and pet insurance. Commuter and Transit programs may also be available in certain markets.

Skills & Competencies:
- Admitted to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction
- 2-6 years' relevant legal experience as a U.S. attorney with a focus on technology transactions and commercial contracting.
- Experience counseling clients on a variety of technology and IP transactions, such as the licensing of technology and other IP; the development and licensing of data; the distribution of products or content; SaaS arrangements; and the provision of other services.
- Experience with online and digital contracting such as terms of use, EULAs, platform terms, and click-to-accepts.
- Should have the ability to skillfully draft and negotiate deals in uncharted territory and in areas beyond their comfort zone.
- Familiarity with privacy law considerations that are part of commercial arrangements is required.
- Negotiation skills with a focus on business-practical solutions
- Time management - Successfully accomplishing a number of tasks with competing deadlines (multi-tasking) to meet internal and external deadlines and client and firm expectations, which includes periods of highly focused concentration.
- Privacy law and compliance experience, either with U.S. or international law. IAPP certification.
- Experience with the tech/data side of large corporate transactions, e.g., working on M&A, financings, IPOs, or joint ventures.
- Drafting compliance documents, policies, and procedures.
- Direct marketing guidance for TCPA, CANSPAM, and similar.
