Job Description:

The Transducer Design Engineer will perform engineering design, development, and maintenance tasks, and assist in various phases of ongoing projects. This person works with a dynamic team of product managers, mechanical, acoustical and manufacturing engineers to improve existing and create new best-in-class single-element and phased array probes. The Engineer's work includes concept generation, CAD layouts, detail design, fixture design and testing.

Job Duties

• Designs, develops, modifies and evaluates mechanical parts and components for ultrasonic probes and scanners.

• Creates and maintains documentation to accepted standards for new and mature products.

• Collaborates with other functions to update and release documentation using the PLM system to create and process PCN, ECN and First Article Approvals.

• Supports Manufacturing.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong problem solving skills.
