Job description

Administrative position with responsibility for monitoring driver Safety Operating Procedures and working with the department to ensure compliance in addition to maintaining & monitoring employee safety manuals and training new hire candidates on Ramp Safety Procedures.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Responsible for SOP training of all new drivers and re-training of current drivers
• Responsible for updating and maintaining all driver files
• Report out on any accidents or potential accidents that may occur
• Ensure all State inspections, registrations and Insurance ID’s for trucks are current
• Responsible for ensuring all drivers adhere to A-1 Inspection procedures
• Assist the Ramp Safety Supervisor as needed and perform other clerical duties as assigned

Required Skills:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of prior safety and/or ramp experience required
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and other computer applications
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Strong analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Detail oriented
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be able to communicate well with all employees including members of management
• Must be able to obtain a Port Authority SIDA badge
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with large groups – must be flexible
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,750.00 - $48,750.00 per year
