ROLE: Travel Portfolio Associate - Italy Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION

To meet the demands of our growing travel business, Context is looking to hire a full-time, US-based Travel Portfolio Associate - Italy Specialist. If you love to travel and have a few stamps in your passport, this is a great role for you! Extensive travel or living experience in Italy is necessary as is basic knowledge of the Italian language.

We are expanding our Travel division and you'll have the opportunity to help shape the team. To be successful in doing so, you'll need to be able to work independently as part of a remote and distributed team as well as have strong communication skills, attention to detail and a process-oriented mindset. Experience traveling in Europe is a requirement and experience working in an e-commerce company is a plus.

This role is fully remote, but candidates should be based in the US to work an EST- and Europe-friendly schedule. This role reports to the Travel Portfolio Manager, who is based in Mexico and works closely with direct team members based in Europe.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Tour Portfolio Management
    • Update and maintain the global tour product portfolio with changes to venues, itineraries, and tickets - with a focus on our Italy portfolio
    • Edit and improve tour product instructions and tour logistics for internal teams
    • Edit and improve instructions for the experts who run the tours; liaise with experts to understand necessary on the ground changes
    • Collaborate with Senior Manager, Supplier Relations in building and maintaining relationships with local partners, vendors and attractions
    • Work with Marketing team to edit/improve tour product descriptions and tour merchandising
  • Tour Portfolio Expansion
    • Own research and development of new tour itineraries in existing and new markets based on portfolio strategy roadmap
  • Fulfillment Support
    • Day-to-day support to our Fulfillment team as they purchase venue tickets and book auxiliary services for each scheduled tour.
    • Support our Customer Service and Partner Sales teams with product and venue knowledge, problem solving and travel planning.
  • Monitor KPIs both globally and for Italy portfolio performance
  • Work across cultures and time zones with our global teams: Client Services, Technology, Sales, Marketing, Finance & Expert Community
  • Understand American business practices and communication styles as well as European norms
  • Occasional travel


WHAT YOU’LL BRING

The strongest candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of work experience, preferably in the travel industry; work experience in an e-commerce business with a focus on product management would also be beneficial to the role. You'll also need a passion for learning and for building and growing a business! Fluency in Italian is preferred.

  • Attention to detail: you are careful and precise and value accuracy in your work.
