Veterinary Care & Specialty Group (VCSG) is an emergency and referral hospital located in the South Broad Street area of Chattanooga, TN. We are a full-service hospital for small-animal emergencies and treat a myriad of cases requiring simple to complex treatments and surgeries. Our facility has the latest diagnostic equipment including MRI, ultrasound, digital x-ray, CT, and state-of-the-art lab equipment.
We have ER veterinarians on a rotating schedule in the hospital 24 hours a day and trained technicians on triage and ICU at all times. We have three board-certified Internal Medicine veterinarians seeing cases on a referral basis from local veterinarians. We have board-certified surgeons for soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries, a neurologist, oncologist, cardiologist, and two criticalists.
We are looking for triage nurses who will be the first line of response in presenting emergencies, take initial histories and perform intake exams, rapidly assess the need for interventions, and communicate effectively with the doctor and other members of the team.
Technicians must be able to multi-task, understand the urgency of emergency work, and move with the flow. This line of work is as much about the clients as it is about the owners. You must be able to demonstrate compassion and patience as most clients are here under dire circumstances.
