STADIUM EVENTS MANAGER

Continuing Position

Salary Range: $19.05/hr

This is a year-round position that works only during scheduled events at the THS Stadium. This is considered to be a part-time position that works on an as needed basis and will be paid via timeslips.

THIS POSITION IS OPEN UNTIL FILLED

QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with building systems, i.e. scoreboard, PA system, lighting, keyless entry, fire alarm. Valid Washington State Driver’s license. State/FBI background clearance required. High School graduate preferred with demonstrated reading, writing and math skills acceptable to the District.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds; supervise all aspects of a school or community event in the Tumwater School District Stadium. Frequently communicate and work with District Athletic Directors. Establish and maintain effective relationships with school staff, students and community groups.

Constantly – 67–100%

• Assure that the Stadium grandstands are set up properly for an event including the protocols for the unlocking of doors, equipment use and the operation of necessary lighting and other systems.
• Responsible for overall crowd and player management in accordance with the proper use of the stadium and field.
• Oversee the inventory of adequate supplies and materials needed for proper building function by communicating such needs to the Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds or his/her designee.
• Oversee the security of the Stadium and fields including lights, doors, alarms and proper use of the facility.
• Report any safety, sanitary or fire hazard to the Buildings and Grounds Department.
• Demonstrate effective safety procedures; maintain safe working conditions; comply with safety rules and regulations.
• Protect the interest of the district regarding pilferage, loss, theft or abuse of all district facilities and equipment.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Occasionally – 6–33%

• Problem solve minor malfunctions of the stadium systems such as scoreboard, PA system and Field Lighting.
• Monitor the operation of the heating plant, electrical, mechanical and plumbing devices and notify the responsible person in case of malfunction.
• Maintain records, completing and submitting reports as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or administrator.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Punctual and dependable, able to work well with others.
• Maintain a valid Washington State Driver’s License.
