The equipment operator will help fulfill orders in the warehouse by utilizing warehousing equipment such as forklifts and order pickers. This position will be in the warehouse facility. The facility specializes in large furniture items that ship across North America. This position will be on one of two shifts that covers a 7-day per week operation.

Overview

The equipment operator will help fulfill orders in the warehouse by utilizing warehousing equipment such as forklifts and order pickers. This position will be in the warehouse facility. The facility specializes in large furniture items that ship across North America. This position will be on one of two shifts that covers a 7-day per week operation.

Candidate should be a motivated team player with a positive attitude and possess good organizational and communication skills. Individuals should be able to function well in a multi-task environment with attention to detail, and willing to accept new and diverse assignments. Candidate must be able to work with all organizational levels including fellow-employees, customers, and management.

Responsibilities

• Operates warehousing equipment such as forklifts and order pickers frequently
• Safely operate in a warehouse environment
• Work as part of a team
• Follow work instructions
• Operate a scanner to track the location of product in the building
• Follow-up on tasks

Qualifications

• Warehousing or Manufacturing Experience a plus
• Able to work independently
• Forklift or Heavy Machinery Experience a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to manipulate a keyboard for extended periods of time
• Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 pounds
• Operate warehouse equipment as required for position (i.e., forklift, pallet jack, cherry picker) which requires coordinated movements
