The Dietary Aide assists in a variety of tasks within the kitchen and dining room. May be asked to assist the Cook or Food Service Director with various tasks relative to the smooth operation of the Food Service Department.

The Dietary Aide has multiple responsibilities including the handling and preparing of food in accordance with sanitary regulations, keeping work areas clean, loading, and unloading of the dish machine while ensuring all items are clean and sanitized, cleaning of floors and resetting table and assisting with the unloading and care for stock in the storeroom and other areas.

ABILITIES, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and PHYSICAL:

• Ability to communicate in a pleasant and professional manner with supervisors, guests, employees, and residents of Cleveland Center.
• Ability to work as a team player, following instructions, learning routines, and carrying out responsibilities so that dining times and food service operations run smoothly.
• Must be able to read and follow instructions relative to the job including operating manuals for appliances, recipes, safety procedures, etc.
• Ability to read, write, speak clearly, and follow simple oral and written directions.
• Experience with elderly or geriatric population desirable.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to push, pull and lift objects weighing 50 pounds.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Successful applicants must pass state-required drug and background screens and have proof of COVID vaccination.
