Paragon Industries, Inc. has been manufacturing high-quality steel pipe for over 40 years. Our business has evolved into a diverse product line, which includes pipe for the Mechanical, Fire Protection, Line, OCTG, and Construction applications.


Daily duties will include setting up and monitoring of all quality equipment. Inspection Production is also in charge of Monitoring of Inspection process and personnel. Inspection must get goals, while maintaining a safe environment.

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Operation requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, work boots, and hearing protecting. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted. Employee must clock in and out during shifts.

This position includes tasks and duties that the Company reasonably believes could affect the safety and health of the employee performing the task or others. Therefore, the Company has deemed this position as one involving “safety-sensitive job duties” as defined by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act.

Qualifications:
  • Must have experience in ultrasonic NDE and capable of passing a SNT-TC-1A Level II examination
  • Must have experience/training in Quality Control to perform the function of the job.
  • Visibility of work requires attention to detail, good organizational skills.
  • Must be able to give and receive verbal and written instructions.
  • Must be able to stand on feet for a minimum of 8 hours and lift 50lbs.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills and solid arithmetic and computer skills. Employee may be required to work overtime. Must be able to work any shift including weekends as required.
Responsibilities:
  • Operation and troubleshooting
  • Report all non-conformances and any potential quality issues.
  • Assist with the assessment and resolution of quality issues on the line.
  • Provide daily quality reports to Director of Quality Assurance.
  • Perform all daily prove-up on rejected material to help better assist quality issues.
  • Possess and maintain current knowledge and understanding of all relevant SOP’s.
Activities:
  • Detect defects which are inherent to various steel making and pipe manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct inspection to ensure quality.
  • Maintain accurate process of paperwork and test results.
  • Determine if pipe does/does not meet Quality Plan specifications.
  • Report any discrepancies on reports to the Leader.
  • Ensure proper procedures are being followed and appropriate paperwork is being utilized.
  • Ensure production and quality goals are achieved.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures and Process Control Plans (PCP).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full time

  • $200 on 1st paycheck, $200 after 60 days, $377 after 90 days
