The Utility Worker is responsible for interior and exterior cleaning, fueling, and major cleaning. The Utility Worker is also responsible for general property and vehicle cleanliness.

Essential Functions / Process Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned as necessary:

• Cleaning interior and exterior of Transit Yard
• Cleaning interior and exterior of Transit Station
• Check and replenish all fluids
• Cleaning interior and exterior of buses and support vehicles
• Fueling buses
• General cleanliness of all facilities, vehicles, and equipment including all bus stops
• Maintain a safe, clean, teamwork area
• Assist others as requested
• Move vehicles safely between job and work area
• Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, team members, and client
• Operate a fork lift
• Actively participate in safety or educational training as required
• Performance may be measured by the degree to which all grounds, facilities, and vehicles are clean and functioning in a safe and efficient manner

Requirements

• Preferred Education and Experience:

• • High School diploma or equivalent required

• • Minimum of 1 year of hands on experience or technical or vocational training required

• • Must obtain and maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License with required endorsements

• • Ability to work flexible and varied work schedules including late night, early morning, weekends, snow days, and holidays

• • Maintenance shop environment

• • Ability to lift 65 pounds

• • Ability to communicate in writing and verbally
