The User Experience (UX) Researcher will work in a cross-functional team of researchers and scientists to?(a)?identify target markets and user segments (b) engage with qualitative and quantitative research methods to collect data to better understand users’ behaviors and needs (c) collaborate with both internal and external colleagues and consultants to ensure on-time completion of project goals.

Requirements

Responsibilities:
Collect and synthesize data, identify and articulate actionable insights, present insights to stakeholders and teams in a story-telling format
Design and facilitate user research studies (e.g., contextual inquiry, interviews, focus groups) and usability studies (both qualitative and quantitative) using moderated and unmoderated methods.
Facilitate ideation and workshop sessions with internal teams and target user groups
Engage with users of target market and user segments to conduct visioning activities, needs assessments, validation of problem statements, and ongoing testing through the development lifecycle.?
Keep abreast of the trends and latest research in human computer interaction and related fields.
Attend Research related conferences and workshops, take relevant courses and become members of UXR associations.
Remain current with usability and / or accessibility guidelines that change with evolving technologies.
Implement best practices and strategies for any given user experience research and discovery work.

Experience and Skills
Education, Certifications, or Special Licenses:
A Bachelor's degree or higher (or equivalent) in Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Learning Sciences, Cognitive Science, or related field

Relevant Years of Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the UX research and/or evaluation of technology-based user experiences (e.g., usability, accessibility).

Required Experience and Skills:
Experience engaging with target market and user segments to understand their needs and aligning solutions with those needs?
Experience assisting in client requirements-gathering sessions and usability testing
Experience with using various online research tools and platforms
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in agile teams and with cross-divisional stakeholder groups?
Have decent understanding and knowledge of UX design practices (e.g., prototyping techniques, storyboarding, visual design, UI design, interaction design)
Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Curiosity and willingness to ask questions and challenge assumptions
Experience working with AI, ed-tech, teaching and learning, and/or language learning is a plus
