Licensed Practical Nurse

Veteran Unit:
This position is for a Behavioral Health Associate who will be specially trained to work on all units including an exclusive unit for veterans. This unit is serving America's heroes currently serving, veterans, and family members. The Behavioral Health Associate will help to coordinate care and oversight and provide assistance for those as they engage in activities and programming designed to help integrate the client back into the community. Veterans, National Guard, and Reserve are preferred for this position.

Behavioral Health Associate:

The Behavioral Health Associate, or BHA, is a clinical staff member who interacts with patients throughout the shift. They demonstrate strong observation and de-escalation skills and are often the first people to intervene in high-stress situations. They instruct, assist, and supervise activities throughout the day.

Duties include:

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent required
• One year of experience in a psychiatric setting/patient care preferred
• Good communication skills, i.e., reading, writing, and speaking
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
• Good leadership qualities which include self-control, patience, and empathy

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.50 - $18.00 per hour
