Job description

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team and get in on the ground floor of the newest veterinary hospital and boarding facility in Huntsville! This position will require you to communicate directly with clients as well as handling and evaluating pets so previous work with dogs/cats is strongly preferred. As we are a new hospital, daily roles may shift between kennel attendant and daycare. Previous experience working in a dog daycare program is strongly preferred. Getting in on the ground floor means cross training opportunities with other areas of the hospital will be available and encouraged but most importantly your voice will be heard and you can impact the practice in a meaningful way.

Responsibilities vary depending on assignment (daycare vs kennel):

• Clean and sanitize cages/kennels.
• Monitor outdoor play groups.
• Plan and engage dogs in stimulating/enriching activities during daycare
• Feed animals and monitor their diet.
• Knowledge of animal health issues.
• Communicate with veterinarians and staff.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
