The Chief Nursing Officer will report to the CEO and keep lines of communication open regarding the development and organization of hospital nursing services, clinical functions and education. The CNO will have the opportunity to work with an ACNO as well as a Senior RN Director and Administrative Nursing Directors within the service lines of Surgical Services, Critical Care, Medical Surgical as well as Ambulatory Care.

The Executive Chief Nurse Officer will lead hospital governing bodies to develop standards,and practices, which will drive the patient care services at this healthcare organization to meet national standards of excellence . This RN Leader will strategically collaborate with the C-Suite and Administrative staff, as well as medical and nursing staff, to enhance patient safety and quality. The CNO will direct all nursing programs.

The Executive Chief Nurse Officer will exercise extensive knowledge of compliance and accreditation requirements, while effectively communicating with the clinical leaders such as Nurse Director and RN Managers.
