Warehouse-Inventory Clerk-3rd Shift -22/HR (Job Number: 2219640 )
Position Summary:
Responsible for the daily/weekly maintaining of pallet tracking (where applicable), audit of driver logs and trip reports, log and driver file DOT requirements tracking. Liaison for internal customer support. Track all return goods as directed by the customer for close out of returns from the private fleet.

3rd Friday - Sunday 6am - 6:30pm

Major Responsibilities:
Maintains inventory records, assuring unit quantities are correct
- Accurately match numbers & letters, assuring appropriate number of individual units or cases on a pallet, and in a pick
location or stock location
- Perform Cycle Counts, 1st, and 2nd level
- Perform inventory adjustments
- Electronically scan products using a WMS (warehouse management system), to identify, move and verify inventory
- Ensure damaged products are identified and removed when received, communicate with vendor for return authorization,
keep and maintain damage records
- Troubleshoot receiving issues
- Inspect units for damage, determine damage type between various categories
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Complies with all safety requirements
- Complete daily audit logs, inbound and outbound
- Report quality errors to supervisors
- Communicate with associates from other shifts
- Attach identifying tags to containers, or mark them with identifying information
- Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs
- Uses computer to enter records
- Uses WMS to set and maintain item attributes
- Uses WMS to configure system settings
- Uses problem solving skills to troubleshoot driver issues to keep production moving
- Troubleshoots computer equipment issues (mobile printers, scanners, etc.)
- Run system traces, coordinate with IT Support to resolve issues
- Work with the customer to resolve inventory issues between systems
- Responsible for quality in all areas of operations (quality control)
- Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of warehousing or material-handling (using hand/power tools and hand truck) equipment experience
preferred
- Prior inventory or receiving experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior use of warehouse management systems and scanners preferred
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn in-house systems required
- Must be able to work varied schedule including weekend and early morning shifts
- Flexible to work overtime required
- Ability to read, write, and speak English required
- Ability to follow directions, and basic math skills required
- Requires the ability to pay close attention to details, meet deadlines, and work with difficult individuals
- Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment
application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug
screening.
