Area Distributors, a division of Imperial Dade, leading national distributor, has a job open in Union City, CA. The evening Warehouse Manager will perform a variety of routine shipping and receiving duties. Shipping tasks include picking, packaging, routing, and shipment of orders. Receiving tasks include loading and unloading truck shipments and stocking the warehouse shelves. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Lead / Manage team of approximately 20+ Warehouse Associates.
• Meet labor budget dollars plan.
• UPS/FedEx inbound, check for special orders and put in stock location as needed.
• Prepare warehouse for evening order selectors by down stocking pallet items as needed.
• Ensure picking accuracy of 99% on all pick orders.
• Assist with checking loads.
• Check-in will call from drivers and check for special orders.
• Check-in driver returns and return to stock as soon as possible.
• Check completed trucks for shorts and turn in for processing.
• Monitors Order Selectors.
• Insure orders are pulled in most effective manner.
• Monitor the proper loading and unloading of shipments.
• Stock products as needed.
• Ensure Cal OSHA and company safety policies and compliance to expectations.
• Ensure that the warehouse is cleaned and always maintained.
• Adheres to all safety rules, guidelines, policies, and procedures always without exception.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to prioritize work and perform well under pressure while successfully meeting all deadlines.
• Hands on experience and knowledge of warehouse and how it operates.
• Excellent English communication/comprehension skills—verbal and written.
• Effective math and computer skills.
• Proven ability to implement policies and procedures.
• Meet and exceed minimum productivity levels established by the Company.

• Able to read, write, and communicate effectively, as relates to the job and to the safety regulations.
• Regularly required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, see and hear.
• Required to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Frequently lift, push, or move products that weigh 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds.
• Frequently reach up to 72 inches to stack and unstack pallets and hand cart.
