ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Performs a variety of warehousing duties as directed, require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. Work involves most of the following: verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment. This worker may operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


High School diploma or GED; Vocational training commensurate with Department of Labor functional description.


At least two (2) year of warehouse experience, to include: performing inventory, staging, packing, storage and shipping of electronic equipment and related material; operating motor vehicles and material handling equipment; and utilizing a computer-based inventory and bar-coding system for entry, identification and tracking of material. Adequate experience performing the duties of the labor category as described in the Department of Labor functional.


CONTRACT SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE


Be able to lift and move material and equipment weighing up to 60 pounds and to sit, stand and stoop for prolonged periods of time. Must hold a valid driver license and a Florida Class E license with no restrictions that are in conflict with Department of Transportation (DOT) or Navy Material Handling Equipment (MHE). Applicant must be able to pass a Navy quality medical/ physical required for forklift operation. US citizenship required; applicant must be able to pass public trust and similar background investigations which would lead to issuance of a Common Access Card (CAC) card and Rapid GATE pass.


Data entry experience with Citrix Database and Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Industry SAP is a plus. Duties will include daily interaction and log in to an ERP account. Experience working with MS Office, Outlook and Adobe PDF software programs is required.


Experience required with Naval Aviation supply and MILSTRIP procedures; verifying parts against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing parts to prescribed storage locations per established procedures and preparing material for shipment IAW DOD instructions and delivery of material; storing, stacking, or palletizing parts in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment as directed; performing receipt process for parts/stowage of material; repackaging damaged or improperly packaged material; disassembling of Aircraft Modification Kits; and Identifying material and crossing part numbered items to NSN (National Stock Numbers); Must be able to interact/correspond with Government Customers.


License: Must have valid driver's license.


This position is a McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA) position and is subject to a Department of Labor wage determination. The current hourly rate is $19.44.
