Our team of Mechanical, Industrial and Electrical Engineers has over 100 years of combined experience, and they, along with our technicians, welders and fabricators, complete our team of experts in analyzing concept generation, designing, and specifying components for complex systems and then bring them to life through our manufacturing capabilities.

Ceres is looking for a Manager of Parts who is responsible for running a profitable and efficient parts department. To accomplish objectives through the use of proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staff utilization, security, pricing, merchandising, displaying, and advertising. The Parts Manager must be an investment advisor and profit producer. Position requires Manger to maximize profit through the effective operation of the Parts Department by satisfying customers’ expectations, monitor and control resources and assets in a way consistent with CERES profit requirements while maintaining and improving customer relations, and to maximize departmental profitability through the sale of parts, accessories and where possible, other value added products and services.

Salary: This position will pay between $64,000.00 - $96,000.00 per year

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES*:

  • Builds and manages a competent team by effectively hiring, training and developing employees, delegating work assignments, writing and conducting performance appraisals, coaching and counseling, and administering disciplinary procedures.
  • Ensure that the Parts Department achieves its financial objectives thru ongoing examination of management accounts, system information, and daily operating controls.
  • Review profitability of all lines to ensure that high margin sales are maximized and encouraged and low margin sales are reviewed to determine how profitability might be improved.
  • Develop and maintain effective parts Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain effective control of expenses in line with objectives by viewing daily sales and profit reports, periodic examination of management accounts and reviewing other business information.
  • Aggressively develop new customer base while growing existing customer accounts.
  • Maintain stock breadth and depth at levels sufficient to satisfy demand and sales targets while not creating excessive costs and risk of obsolescence.
  • Assist in maintaining a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department and over the counter customers. Work with vendors to maintain the best prices and discounts
  • Effectively manage, coach, and train a team of employees to work with customers and coworkers. Establish and maintain training needs analysis to provide satisfactory levels of knowledge, skill, job satisfaction and cost-effective development of all Parts personnel.
  • Manage Warehouse lead to optimize all Warehouse operations according to company objectives.
