CERTIFIED WATER OPERATOR NEEDED IMMEDIATELY!
Sign-on Bonus Available!
Immediate opening for a certified Water/Wastewater Operator to work in our Maryville location. Must have the ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule based on water production demands. This is a Class A membrane surface water treatment plant and the Class B wastewater plant is an activated sludge. There are a total of 5 employees at this location.
Sign-on Bonus Offered:
- Class A = $10,000 at time of hire
- Class B = $8,000 at time of hire but if obtain the A certification within 12 months, eligible for the $10,000
- Class C = $5,000 at time of hire
- Class D = $2,500 at time of hire
- Sign-on bonus paid as follows: Half after 6 months with remaining payout at 1 year

PeopleService will consider a non-certified applicant, but must have a strong mechanical background to repair related equipment such as blowers, pumps, etc. Be driven to learn the water/wastewater industry through on-the-job training and self-paced study courses to prepare for testing to obtain water and/or wastewater certification. This is a long-term career - one that is essential to our customers to ensure the water produced is safe for consumption and wastewater does not degrade the environment. If you are not certified, the wage scale is $16.50-20.00 with no sign-on bonus.
High school diploma or equivalent.- Missouri certification strongly encouraged to apply - those with higher certifications will be considered first.
- Valid driver's license with clean record to operate a company vehicle.
- Prior experience in ground water treatment with membrane experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical skills.
- Attendance and punctuality essential for this position.
- Required to work weekends, holidays, evenings based on water production needs.
- Ability to respond to after-hour callouts.
- Strong customer service and teambuilding experience.
Salary dependent upon certification and experience.
