We are looking for a Water / Wastewater Tech I.

The Water/Wastewater Tech I is a labor position which requires working with a crew of technicians and operators.

Primary Accountabilities:

• Using and developing skills with a work crew – under direct supervision will maintain and repair pipes, pumps, leaks, and replacing equipment in the systems. May perform these duties using shovels or hand tools, as directed.
• Will perform repair and maintenance on the water/waste water system components such as fire hydrants, main line valves, water service lines, water mains, water meters and fittings.
• Assists with the installation of new water services, water system flushing, water quality sampling, flow testing, traffic control, and preventative maintenance activities e. g. valve exercising and fire hydrant inspections.
• May also assist with the installation, maintenance and repair of wastewater collections systems including sewer laterals, mains, taps, main cleaning and clearing blockages, roach control, and raises/lowers/repairs of manholes.
• Will perform other job duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience in a water treatment facility preferred.
• Valid Drivers License
• Backhoe Experience preferred
• water leak repair experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
