Summary Description


This individual will work closely with the Trust & Wealth Management Division Portfolio Managers to utilizing various skills and expertise necessary to establish and maintain a group of model portfolios designed for smaller account balances. They will serve as the primary contact for client acquisition by working with the Bank’s retail staff and serving as liaison for the onboarding process. This person will ensure client retention by responding to requests, providing and maintaining superior quality service as well as identifying opportunities to introduce other financial services.


Essential Functions


  • Meet (virtually) and onboard clients including completion of all required paperwork to establish new account relationship
  • Independently manage client portfolios and client relationships in accordance to account objective


  • Implement department's techniques associated with model portfolio design and monitoring
  • Work closely with Trust Operations staff to facilitate client transactions


  • Utilize department's software platform for model portfolios and trading (including cashiering accounts)


  • Adherence to regulatory and compliance policies and procedures


  • Monitor market trends, client feedback, and account efforts; prepare communication and reports to supervisor on a regular basis


  • Prepares proposals and presentation for prospective clients; may also assist Trust Portfolio Managers when meeting existing and prospective clients


  • Assist Trust Portfolio Managers with special projects as identified and assigned


  • Participate in various Branch education and training to support small account balance initiatives

Position Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in business related field


  • Familiarity with a broad range of trust and investment markets preferred


  • Willingness to complete additional education/training as assigned


  • Overnight travel may be necessary on a limited basis


  • Work is generally performed indoors in environmentally controlled conditions


  • Typically, the employee may sit to perform the work. However, there may be some standing, walking, bending and carrying of light items in the course of the work
