We have an immediate opening for an X-Ray Technologist - that serves a vital role in the patient care we provide at Jaffe Sports Medicine in North Naples.

The X-Ray Technologist is a trained medical professional performing radiological duties in compliance with regulatory and departmental requirements. The X-ray Technician will perform radiographic exams, ordered by the physician, that are technically satisfactory, properly positioned and processed adequately. All exams must be performed using the ALARA principle to minimize radiation dose to the patient.

• 
  Performs timely radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician or app
• Performs necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed
• Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and follows established clinical and regulatory procedures regarding to patient safety and care, including proper radiation protection, and shielding techniques.
• Ensures that equipment is in proper working order and reports any malfunctions to the Area Manager or provider on duty
• Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient visit.
• Assumes responsibility for maintaining and improving diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with the support and assistance of outside educational resources
• Responsible for maintaining current licensure and certification for the facility radiology equipment and licensure
• Must be able demonstrate appropriate clinical judgment and apply professional skills to a patient population of all ages

Education and Experience:

• Certificate or Associate/Bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology required
• State of Florida Medical Board X-ray Operators License required
• ARRT certified • Significant and successful prior x-ray experience is preferred
• Demonstrated willingness to put patients first
• Ability to work collaboratively as a team, interacting with physicians, medical assistants, and other essential elements of the clinic environment
• CPR Certified
