Ferrous Processing and Trading a business of Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an immediate opportunity for a Yardman at the John Kronk operation. The Yardman will perform manual, routine, and repetitive work under general supervision.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Loads and unloads materials from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers using mobile equipment or by hand
• Performs cleaning duties related to plant equipment and general housekeeping
• Assists mechanics in the maintenance of equipment, including plant equipment
• Interacts with customers or drivers to direct or assist them
• Sort a variety of recycled materials and metals to separate out high-grade metals and removes any non-conforming metals
• Operate forklift to transport materials to various staging areas
• Performs other general laborer tasks as required

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Ability to climb ladders or steps to reach objects
• Operate forklift
• Ability to follow oral and written communication
• Work cooperatively with other employees and the public
• Must be able to work rotating shifts
• Pre-Employment background, physical, and hair drug screen required
