Job description

We are seeking a Part-Time employee to assist in the maintenance and operation of our local properties. A successful candidate should have a basic understanding of pool maintenance and cleaning. Additional experience in plumbing and electrical repair is highly preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Previous related experience.

2. Must be at least 18 years of age.

3. Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.

4. Ability to document operating conditions and to update maintenance logs.

5. Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.

6. Basic understanding of the upkeep and care of equipment.

7. Understanding of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.

8. CPR, First Aid, AED and Blood Borne Pathogen Certification within 30 days of hire.

9. Child Abuse Prevention Training within 30 days of hire.

10. Additional Trainings may be required.

Typical work includes but is not limited to:

· Pool water testing and record keeping

· Administration of chemicals associated with pool sanitation and water quality.

· Pool cleaning to include vacuuming, stainless steel, pool decks & drains, water slides, play structures, mechanical rooms and machinery.

· Snow and ice removal, sanding, ice melt distribution.

· In town travel to other YMCA facilities to maintain pools and equipment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $14.49 per hour

• 4 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
