Youth City Teen Program Specialist - PART-TIME
Job Description:
Under the direction of Youth City Teen Coordinator, the Youth City Teen Program Specialist will be responsible for program design and implementation of the Youth City Teen Programs. Duties include, but not limited to: outreach, program development, communication with Community Programs Managers, data collection, and developing effective strategies to meet and exceed all organizational outreach goals and objectives.
This position is open until filled and may close without notice.
This position comes with a possible bonus of $500 for qualified candidates selected and hired for a position!
$250 after 1 month of employment and $250 after 6 months of employment.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
- Develop and infuse learning objectives to activities for teens.
- Oversee the development of all outreach strategies and special events.
- Establish and cultivate relationships with local high schools and middle schools.
- Maintain accurate tracking and documentation of all members recruited and retained.
- Ensure compliance with all grant requirements including tracking and reporting.
- Develop partnerships with other youth services providers to leverage community resources.
- Attend mandatory staff meetings and staff trainings.
- Performs all other duties requested.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School graduate or equivalent and at least 21 years of age.
- Possession of valid Utah Commercial Drivers License or ability to obtain within 3 months of employment.
- Three years' experience working with youth from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally and demonstrate public presentation skills.
- Ability to demonstrate group management skills and techniques.
- Ability to work independently as well as under supervision.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Moderate physical activity. Required to push, pull, or lift medium weights. Uncomfortable working positions such as stooping, crouching and bending.
- Exposure to stress as a result of human behavior and the requirements of the job.
- Will be required to work on evenings.
