JOB SUMMARY:
The Youth Support Specialist provides individual skill development and support to both youth and adult clients referred through the Comprehensive Community Services Program and supports and assists clients in the follow through and success of their individualized goals. This position serves clients and families throughout Jefferson County. Services include individual meetings, structured recreational activities which build social skills, crisis intervention, school support and parent contact.

LOCATION: Office is based in Janesville, WI with some flexibility to work hybrid/remote when in-person meetings are not scheduled. Local travel will be required to meet with clients in Jefferson County. Mileage reimbursement is provided for work travel. Must be able to meet in-person with clients in Jefferson Co area.
SCHEDULE: Hours are varied, typically during business hours Monday-Friday between 9:00am and 6:00pm with occasional weekends.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Analyze youth capabilities, strengths and problems to determine the services required to meet the unique needs of youth.
- Implement, evaluate and review client goals in collaboration with team members, youth and their families.
- Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for clients in school, the community and during emergency and crisis situations.
- Attend client team meetings.
- Organize and facilitate individual meetings and structured recreational activities that assist youth in developing pro-social skills and connections.
- Safely transport clients as needed.

SALARY: $21.00-22.00 per hour
Requirements:- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or other related field.
- Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
