Job Description:

This includes weekends and holidays according to how the rotation days fall. Staff are allowed to punch in 7 minutes early to shift starting. Once staff member punch in, he/she are to report to nursing station to get assignment. Once received assignment, he/she are to do walking rounds with the off going shift. Between 2pm-4pm, staff can be getting residents showers done who are assigned to them. They can also pull the assigned laundry to laundry room for 10pm-16am shift to wash. Staff members are required to participate in activities 15 minutes to get to know residents. Once you get to know your resident’s giving care is easier. At 4pm, staff are to start bringing residents to dining room for dinner. Dinner starts at 4:45pm/5pm. Staff are required to assist with feeding, set up tables with silverware and drinks. These duties are assigned by the charge nurse on duty. After dinner, staff are to take residents to units and start their nighttime routines. The nighttime routines are different per resident. Some residents like to go to bed after dinner, some residents like to watch tv, and some may even want to do a small activity. We round on our residents every 2 hours throughout the shift for safety and toileting/incontinence care. Staff Allowed 30-minute break and a 15-minute break.

Qualifications:

• Keep all required licensure in good standing at all times.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to push, pull, and lift at least 50lbs.
• Ability to bend, squat, and climb stairs.
• Ability to continuously walk or stand.

• Potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
• Potential exposure to communicable diseases.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
