This is a FLSA Non-Exempt Hourly Position

Who We Are: The Guidance Center is a non-profit community behavioral healthcare provider serving the communities of Crawford, Franklin, Logan, Polk, Sebastian and Scott counties in Western Arkansas.

Who Are We Looking For: We have an immediate need for a Medical Assistant. Previous care or working with behavioral health population experience is a definite plus but not an absolute requirement.

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of a medical assistant program or certified nursing assistant
• Previous medical office experience a plus, but not necessary
• Experience with Google Suite/basic computer skills
• Basic patient care competency skills
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively with persons served and Center staff.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Documentation (Preferred)

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with vital signs as needed
• Accompany clients to their appointment
• Urinary Drug Screens
• Answer and direct phone calls to appropriate personnel
• Respond to emails in a timely manner
• Maintain samples and assist nurses and providers on ordering them
• Cleaning of medical room
• Assist providers with additional needs or requirements
• Assist pharmacy's on medication related questions
• Communicate with patients about their symptoms and accurately relay this information to a supervising nurse or physician
• Assist with scheduling

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.50 per hour
