Prior Experience

• Work history that demonstrates working technical knowledge of Insulating Glass production processes and procedures is required.
• Previous experience in a leadership role that clearly demonstrates readiness to assume a managerial role; includes responsibility for the entire production process
• Glass manufacturing and warehousing experience or Supervisory/Management experience
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

• Flexibility - may be required to work overtime to meet customer deadlines

Responsibilities and Duties

• Be a proponent of all safety regulations and a leader in practicing good safety standards.
• Must have a working knowledge of the IG Line operation, equipment, and processes from beginning to end.
• Must be able to help identify and resolve problems as they develop;
• Routinely checks with Leads to ensure smooth operations.
• Understand and encourage that all production measures are indicative of the entire plant as a whole and not any one shift
• Must have a thorough working knowledge of all Cardinal quality standards, and ensure those standards are enforced throughout the operation.
• Will be directly responsible for training new employees and follow-up as required for quality issues.
• Communicate regularly with the Plant Superintendent about goals, issues, quality, staffing, and other areas that may impact the business.
• Take timely corrective action when necessary to improve performance.
• Work closely with the Maintenance department to ensure employees are operating equipment safely, and that equipment is cared for appropriately.
• Attend production meetings and be prepared to report on the activities and/or concerns in production. Be prepared to participate in discussions, and support others in their efforts.
• Other duties as assigned to achieve daily goals and ensure customer satisfaction.
