8-Hour Shifts with rotating weekends. 2nd and 3rd Shifts available with $1.00 pay differential. Starting @ $13/Hour, depending on experience.

Summary of duties and responsibilities:

• Monitor kiln daily, making adjustments as needed, inform kiln engineer or team leader of any irregularities in the area.

• Assist in analyzing and resolving all problems associated with daily firing needs of 3C product

• Work with engineering to develop new firing cycles to meet the needs of the company and debug new equipment as needed.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Monitor kiln and support associated equipment daily
• Make minor adjustments and inform kiln engineer or team leader of any irregularities
• Assist in determining preventive maintenance of kilns, equipment and kiln furniture
• Operate all kilns and equipment associate with kiln area according to SOP’s
• Verify correct firing condition for each firing. (QA tasks, water absorption, surface area, packing density, temperature, rings, crush strength.)
• Assist in all areas as needed
• Responsible for material movement, SAP Transactions, Inventory Control, Cycle Counts.
• Perform necessary house keeping
• Perform other related duties and assignments as directed

Education, prior work experience, specialized skills and knowledge required:

• High school diploma or equivalent GED required

• Basic math and reading comprehension skills required.

• Ability to read blueprints and instruments.

• High level of safety consciousness.

Physical requirements:

• Correctable 20/20 vision

• Lift 40 lbs.

• Walk, squat, climb stairs

• Must be able to sense heat

. Must be willing to get dirty

Working conditions:

• Temperature extremes are present
• Elevated noise levels
• Physical activity required

Equipment used:

• Small tools, measuring tools, computer, calipers, micrometers, miscellaneous equipment, tunnel kiln, multiple batch kilns, working with controller on equipment scales.

Compensation: Starting @ $13/Hour, depending on experience.
