Quality Improvement Coordinator, 988 (Sepulveda Quality Improvement)

This position is fully remote, and you have the option to elect into a 9/80 flex work schedule. The pay range for this role is between $72,000 - $80,000 annually.

Summary

Identifies and implements continuous quality improvement projects in operational and clinical performance across the network.


Primary Duties

  • Under the guidance of 988 Quality Improvement Manager, collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to develop policies and procedures for linkage and referrals to local emergency service departments across the state.
  • Develops policies, procedures and implements trainings for referring 988 callers, texters, and chatters to local behavioral health resources, including substance abuse resources, across the state.
  • Collaborates with 988 Crisis Call Centers to develop training plan consistent with DHCS training requirements
  • Monitors individual 988 Crisis Call Centers ongoing adherence to training plans.
  • Provides oversight of training and support to individual 988 Crisis Call Centers.
  • Participates in the development of policies and procedures for the utilization of local crisis response teams by Didi Hirsch SPC Call Center.
  • Participates in various collaborations with LADMH, DHCS, CALOES in the development and implementation of 988 statewide services.

Position Requirements

To perform effectively in this position, the employee in this position is required to have the following competencies:

  • Master’s degree at minimum.
  • Experience with crisis line work highly desirable.
  • Substance use experience preferred.
  • Experience in writing policies and procedures preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to tailor communication and training to individual needs; ability to engage large audiences.
  • Ability to work with multiple entities facilitating group meetings among those with varying opinions
  • Experience with project management.
  • Preferred Working knowledge of computer and software expertise, including Business Intelligence programs, Excel, and Word.
  • Savvy with data interpretation, utilization and reporting.
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of agency QI goals.
  • Strong customer-service skills and aptitude for building solid relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively as a team member and communicate technical information and concepts to line staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with various departments, learning their individual job flow and program processes.
