Position Summary

Description:

The Senior Therapist (ST) plays a critical role in Minnesota Behavioral Specialists (MBS) model of servicing clients who receive ABA therapist. The ST provides extensive training and support to the Behavior Therapists they supervise and oversee as well as working close with the Clinical Supervisor and Program Manager. Following the initial assessments with the client the ST is responsible for working directly with the clinical team and the family to develop an Individual Treatment Plan (ITP) that best suits progress with the clients they oversee. They must develop programming and train staff on implementation of these programs and continued modification to gain progress across all teaching areas. The ITP is an individualized document to focus on building success in areas of learning that are a current challenge for our clients and serves as a guide for learning for the treatment team. Treatment is provided in accordance of all applicable federal and MN state regulations and MBS policies and procedures.

Responsibilities and Expectations of the ST:

  • A full-time ST typically has 4-6 clients at one time.
  • A Family Skill session should be attempted to occur each week with each client in the center location, client’s home, or out in the community focusing on generalization of skills.
  • The ST Acts as a liaison between the parents and the rest of the treatment team to ensure consistency and clear communication
  • The ST should provide at least 1 Individual Skills session per week with each of their clients. During this time, the ST will follow treatment protocols, collect data, probe targets, and graph data for review with the Clinical team.
  • Provide hands on training for new staff by monitoring, supporting, and training therapists in each home. This is in place to ensure all treatment plans are being run effectively and as intended.
  • The ST should attempt to fill any open sessions or cancelations when possibly to support clients meeting recommended hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
