SUMMARY: The Project Manager will be responsible for performing ADA assessments, with a strong knowledge of ADA Standards. The Project Manager will be responsible for Accessibility field surveys and analysis related to physical barrier reporting and transition planning services. Experience performing accessibility drawing reviews and construction monitoring is preferable. Experience with design and construction related services pertinent to ADA: 2010 Standards for Accessible Design Title II and Title III, ABA, Section 504, FHAAG, and UFAS is a plus. Applicant will need to understand state and local regulations and when they are applicable. In addition, knowledge of the 1991 Standards for Accessible Design, Title 1, IV and V of ADA, or the following certifications, ADAC, CASp, TX RAS, IBC Certified Inspector Plans Inspector are a plus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other job related duties may be assigned in conformance with state and federal regulations.
· Accessibility Assessment Professionals to perform field surveys.
· Participate in all phases of Bureau Veritas accessibility work, including the review of design plans, specifications and product submittals; field inspections and existing building audits; technical assistance and consulting during project development, design and construction; remediation plans and cost estimates; litigation consulting; and training.
· Investigate, analyze, and respond to technical inquiries concerning accessibility issues.
· Must be proficient in highly specialized regulations, codes, standards, and other relevant criteria:
o accessibility regulations, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Fair Housing Amendments Act, and other state and local regulations;
o accessibility requirements of the building code, including the International Building Code and other state and local codes;
o accessibility standards and guidelines, including the 2010 Standards for Accessible Design, the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards, ANSI A117.1, and others.
· Prepares written reports that accurately describe findings through use of computer, iPad, and other electronic devices and software programs.
· Enter site and building barrier information into BV proprietary cost/barrier library.
· Maintains project-by-project communication on programs with Program managers and report reviewers and keeps them informed of any actual or potential problems including continuing updates of when reports will be e-mailed/shipped to production.
· Ability to use and skillfully operate an electronic tablet efficiently in the field for live data collection, and a computer for reporting writing is essential to this position.
· Ability to travel, on average, approximately 20 – 50% of time to client sites across the U.S. via plane and driving as determined based on the project location.
· Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job does not have specific supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and/or Engineering preferred with a minimum of 3 years of experience conducting ADA assessments and writing technical reports required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Not Required. Related ADA certifications are a plus

· Good verbal and written communications skills; good analytical skills and detail-oriented; ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; strong time management skills and ability to adhere to deadlines while maintaining accuracy; willing to challenge and ask questions; driven to achieve; ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
· A valid and clean driver’s license is required.
· Must have a clean driving record.
· Must be able to work from a remote location.
· Must have a cell phone and supply your own internet service.
· Local day and/or overnight travel is required. Expected travel can be anywhere from an estimated 20% to 50% or more at times, depending on project needs.
· Establish and maintain effective working relationships with BV employees and customers.
· Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications with a strong emphasis in MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent time management skills including ability to perform multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and ability to work independently.
· Excellent computer skills.

· On-sites can occur up to one continuous week at a time, or typically at least one or two days per week. As a general expectation, for approximately 1/3 to 1/2 of the PM’s time, travel and on-site work is anticipated and expected.
