Job Description Summary :
Havas Formula | Account Coordinator - Consumer LA
The Account Coordinator role is designed for those new to PR with one year or less of professional experience. ACs support account teams on various client projects while also building relationships with media and influencers in order to ensure brand | client coverage. Typically, individuals will contribute to four to six accounts based on division and VP discretion.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The below reflects average metrics but may vary by division and is subject to VP discretion
Media | Influencer Relations
- Consistently secures: o 12-18 unique placements a month in Tier 3 or higher outlets (3-5 placement per client) o A minimum of 1 placement per month for each assigned vertical category per client o 1 non-digital hit per month Provides weekly competitive intel report for designated clients (subject to division’s needs and specific news monitoring parameters)
- Monitors trend/industry news for client coverage & clips placements with client-facing email for account team
- Ensures consistent and accurate weekly upload and reporting within agency’s dashboard
- Builds media lists using Cision and other tools as provided by the agency
- Researches and builds influencer lists, using GroupHigh and other tools as provided by the agency
- Researches client speaking opportunities, industry awards, and competitor analysis
- Develops and delivers new creative pitch ideas
- Drafts press releases, creative pitches, and other client communications
Account Management
- May sit in on conference calls (target 1 call per month for each client)
- Contributes to brainstorms
- Facilitates client event logistics and actively participates in the daily tasks involved
- Orchestrates press kits and media mailers
- Processes sample requests and tracks inventory
- Provides research support for account team
- Assists in development of weekly, quarterly and annual client reports for both press and influencer programs
Junior Staff | Mentoring
- Assists current Intern manager (AE|SAE) with reviewing daily tasks and mentoring opportunities
- Flags any performance concerns with interns to manager for consideration as necessary Agency Contributions
- Participates in agency’s development programs
- Contributes positively to the culture, atmosphere and values and exudes a positive outlook on his/her team
- Establishes professional and respectful employee relationships within division and agency
- Monitors and records time in agency’s system
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (communications, liberal arts, business or marketing focus preferred) Experience: 1 year of public relations or marketing experience and or a combination of work experience with an internship in a relevant industry
Skills & Abilities Required Strong writing (AP style), editing, listening and verbal communications skills. Resourceful and solutions focused. Capable of multitasking, prioritizing and organizing. Excellent attention to detail. Self-motivated and able to work well in a collaborative environment as well as individually. Effectively manages time, follows up, and is results driven. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and use | development of media databases
