Sneaker News and it’s in-house sales agency, Post, is seeking an Account Director to acquire and develop new accounts for our digital and social properties with a reach of 20M + million young people in the digital and social space. Sales duties are focused on premium digital ad sales but can also include sponsorships, custom content, branded content and 360 integration across display, editorial and social. As an Account Director you will be expected to understand the media landscape in the teen and young adult market. The ideal candidate is creative, ambitious, organized and is great at identifying and closing business across specific categories – MUST HAVE experience with digital selling.
Roles
- Effectively obtain new business and maintain existing lines of business
- Cultivate and manage new and existing client relationships
- Work with editorial team to create original programs
- Act as liaison between Sneaker News and advertiser on all programs, including but not limited to advertising campaigns, branded content, social and mobile promotions.
- Meet monthly, quarterly and yearly revenue goals.
- Prepare weekly sales reports
Qualifications
- 4+ years of media sales experience including mobile, digital video, social, programmatic, and data
- Strong rolodex of agencies, brands and clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledgeable about the downtown youth markets and industry
- Creative problem-solving skills and commitment to execution of task
- Great attitude with a hunger to meet and exceed goals.
- Computer literate in Mac environment and strong Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint) skillset
- Knowledge of Indesign and Adobe software are pluses.
