Lifesteps, a local non-profit human services agency, is currently seeking a full-time Accountant to work in the Accounting and Fiscal Department in Butler, PA.

The Accountant is responsible for the preparation and proofing of financial records and performs efficient/accurate data entry into the Micro Information Processing (M.I.P.) Accounting System. The role provides departments with financial information by researching and analyzing data and preparing financial statements. The Accountant will work with both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, W-9s, Audits, and making journal entries.

This position works a normal schedule of Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associates’ Degree in Accounting or related field and four (4) years of related experience in Accounting
• Excellent thought processing, and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Preferred:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field and one (1) year of related experience
• Accounting software experience such as Abila M.I.P.
