stackArmor is in need of a accountant/bookkeeper with both, accrual and cash based, accounting experience to manage and work on all functions of Accrual and Cash based accounting. This candidate will also be able to manage contract balances and create monthly balance reports. Take on additional accounting and company assignments as assigned.

We use QuickBooks for Estimates, Invoicing, Purchase Orders, GL, and financial reports. Our payroll is processed through ADP and then the data is transferred into QuickBooks.

Accounting responsibilities Include:

Payroll

  • Collect & manage monthly payroll data
  • Add new hired to ADP
  • Enter payroll data into ADP to run the payroll
  • Enter payroll data in to QB for proper cost allocation.
  • Generate reports for management from ADP
  • Generate reports for state and federal tax purposes
  • Ensure all payroll laws and guidelines are followed.
  • Assist with converting from monthly payroll runs to bi-weekly.
  • Performs other payroll related duties as assigned.

Accounts Payable

  • Create purchase orders for all purchases in QuickBooks.
  • Enter invoices in QuickBooks for payment.
  • Follow-up with vendors as needed.
  • Maintain payables worksheet in Smartsheet for payments.
  • Periodical Internal account reconciliations.
  • Work with Outside CPA firm on audits and company tax return
  • Performs other A/P related duties as assigned.

Accounts Receivable

  • Set-up new customers & projects in QuickBooks
  • Create Invoices using QuickBooks
  • Create receivables reports
  • Send payment reminders to customers with overdue invoices
  • Follow-up with customers as needed.
  • Apply Customer Payments in QuickBooks and manage deposits.
  • Periodical Internal customer account reconciliations using purchase order balances.
  • Performs other A/R related duties as assigned

Other Responsibilities

  • Job Costing / Project Financial Analysis (project P&Ls)
  • Track project budgets, resource hours, and project costs.
  • Report project tracking reports
  • Improve accounting operations by revising processes, procedures, and reports.
  • Other accounting and business duties as assigned to support the company’s success.

Technology Requirements

  • Must know: QuickBooks, ADP, Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Good to know: Ease Benefits Connector, KnowB4, TSheets/QuickBooks Time, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

1. Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

2. Thorough knowledge of accounting standards and financial procedures

3. Understanding of both, Accrual and Cash based accounting.

4. A 2-year+ Degree, preferably in a Business / Accounting related field

5. Understanding Exposure to Government Contracting

6. Hands on experience with QuickBooks Online/Desktop, and ADP.

7. Must have interest in developing in the accounting field

8. Strong understanding of MS Excel formulas and pivot tables

9. Familiarity working with benefits providers and using provider portals for billing.

10. Three years of experience in a similar position

11. Exposure to working successfully in a team environment

12. Ability to learn new systems quickly and resolve issues to complete work

13. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

14. Great analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
