MyPoint is seeking a full-time Accountant to work in our Kearny Mesa corporate office. The position is responsible for a variety of general accounting duties and/or a specialized accounting functions, monthly financial reporting, and related tasks in support of the Accounting department.
The ideal candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of accounting experience in a financial institution, including wire transfer and ACH processing experience. Knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger reconciliations, month-end processing and familiarity with financial reporting. Knowledge of Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 310-20, ASC 310-10-35, ASC 860-50. Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and general ledger systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate Excel skills. Proficient and accurate use of 10-key calculator and multi-function printer (copier, scanner, printer, fax). Ability to effectively handle confidential information and materials. Excellent communications skills (verbal and written) with demonstrated ability to correspond with all levels of staff, members, and general public. Strong time management, mathematical, analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
