We currently have an opportunity in our Palo Alto, CA location for an Accountant, with the possibility to work remotely. This position will report to the Accounting Manager. To be successful in this role, the Accountant should be able to conduct a wide variety of intricate and complex accounting duties and projects. The Accountant should also be able to review and analyze current processes for potential improvements and meet deadlines and due dates when completing assignments.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for journal entries, month-end close activity and reconciliations.
- Provide accounting-related guidance and support to other departments.
- Work with other finance and accounting teams across the US and globally.
- Gather data as requested for federal, state, and local reports and tax returns.
- Compile information for periodic financial disclosures and ad hoc reports.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with IFRS and other accounting regulations.
Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP desired.
- As member of a small team, be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently with a high level of autonomy, but also comfortable collaborating with other team members and departments.
- As part a new, growing division, ability to be flexible and comfortable with ongoing changes.
Typical Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree (or equivalent experience) and/or 2-5 years of related experience.
