Job Summary: Accounting Analyst

Marsh Furniture Company is seeking an experienced Accounting Analyst to work within our Finance department to develop analytical reports, extract financial data from customer portals, and conduct day-to-day contact with customers to resolve issues preventing payment on past due invoices. This role reports to the Manufacturing Controller.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Analyzes aging reports to prioritize collection efforts
• Identifies delinquent accounts through the review of customer aging reports and thorough collection efforts
• Works with customer portals to obtain remittance details and purchase order documentation
• Plays an integral role in automation of lockbox deposits and online payment solutions
• Develops analytical reports for inventory trends, cycle count adjustments, and pricing variances
• Utilizes math skills to analyze key financial data
• Utilizes technical skills to create charts and graphs for visual understanding
• Works collaboratively with other accounting personnel within the organization
• Cross-trained in other accounting areas
• Performs other duties as assigned

To ensure success as an Accounting Analyst, you should have

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective time and task management skills
• Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, with emphasis on fluency with Excel formulas and functions

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 3+ years of related experience required
• Experience using data visualization tools, such as Microsoft PowerBI and Tableau, a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
