Career Opportunity: Accounting Analyst - Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio (SWACO) in Franklin County, OH.

As the Accounting Analyst for SWACO, you will be responsible for managing and generating financial reports, banking and account reconciliations, internal auditing as well as capital assets management. You will have full knowledge of all aspects of financial information and status and the ability to manage workflows for multiple processes at the same time. You will also be responsible for collating pertinent financial data that would guide management with decision making processes.

Additionally, you will:

  • Reconcile bank and investments monthly
  • Reconcile and report monthly landfill gas receivables and revenue
  • Month-end close and account reconciliations
  • Capital assets management including but not limited to depreciation, reconciliation, and reporting
  • Coordinate the annual audit process to ensure accounting standards, policies, procedures, and produce the draft work papers
  • Review payroll and quarterly reconciliations to ensure accuracy
  • Produce monthly financial reports including profit and loss statements, projections, balance sheets, and others
  • Create dashboard metrics of financial and operational data
  • Collect and analyze data from departments or projects for trend reporting

The ideal candidate will have:

  • BS in Business, accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience with general ledger, account reconciliations, procurement processes, financial/compliance audits, and payroll review and analysis.
  • Experience with ERP systems, NetSuite preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products, including but not limited to: Excel, Outlook, Word, Access, PowerPoint.
