The Accounting Analyst is responsible for managing account reconciliations, creating detailed reports, and maintaining budget goals. This position will assist the Accounting and Finance Department in creating accurate and timely financial records for the organization, assist in the budget creation, formulate metrics for internal and external stakeholders, and assist with day-to-day accounting functions.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports, to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards defined within the department.
- Participate in the annual audit process to ensure accounting standards, policies and procedures, and other organizational areas pertaining to the audit are met.
- Establish account reconciliations and maintain them monthly to ensure data integrity within the accounting system.
- Document and ensure proper handling of financial records, utilizing current technologies and compliance with retention policy.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent years of work experience, including experience with basic accounting and finance functions;
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience with general ledger, account reconciliations, procurement processes, financial/compliance audits, payroll review and analysis, and
- Basic financial reporting as it pertains to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
