Accounting Analyst

Job Summary:
The Accounting Analyst will be responsible for processing contract updates, A/R billings, collections review and other general accounting duties.
Responsibilities:
- Monthly distribution of system generated WIP reports to 20+ Project Managers (PM’s).
- Post updates to contract values and estimated costs in ERP job cost module.
- Review WIP crosschecks for additional adjustments and reasonableness.
- Manage job number request process and project info set-up in systems.
- Review accuracy and troubleshoot entries by outsourced data entry team.
- Export and distribute various reports from software systems.
- Import/export files between ERP and Project Management System.
- Provide A/R billing support.
- Monitor A/R aging for overdue invoices and request collection updates from project managers.
- Communicate with various departments and management regarding WIP, A/R & Collections.
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Accuracy, consistency and timeliness of entries.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Work individually and as part of a team.
- Prioritize and manage tasks to meet deadlines, such as month-end close.
- Ability to work longer days during close.
- Embrace process improvement initiatives.
Education and Experience:
- 3-5 years accounting/finance experience.
- Experience with ERP systems and Excel.
- Sage Intacct experience a plus, but not required.
