SUMMARY: Performs a variety of accounting duties according to established policies and procedures, which includes posting office deposits. Maintains contact with attorneys, staff and clients and observes confidentiality of client and firm matters.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Utilizes computerized accounting software programs.
2. Utilizes the bank scanner and related software to submit all checks for deposit.
3. Researches and analyzes all payments received in the mail or through ACH and wire activity to ensure they are properly posted to the clients accounts on a daily basis.
4. Operates office equipment including personal computer, copiers, and 10-key calculator.
5. Maintains telephone and personal contact with clients, attorneys and staff when questions arise.
6. Originates daily computerized deposit report that is distributed to Firm management.
7. Organizes and maintains all backup received with checks and electronic deposits so that it is available for future reference.
8. Balances and reconciles the holding account on a monthly basis.9. Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1. Ability to read, write and perform arithmetic computations at a level normally acquired through completion of high school or equivalent in order to maintain and verify accounts.
2. Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them undertime constraints.
3. Ability to analyze information received to determine the correct way to post.
4. Work requires basic Excel skills
5. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate in person, by e-mail and telephone and follow instruction effectively from a diverse group of attorneys, clients and staff and to provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact.
6. Work occasionally requires a high level of mental effort when performing a high volume of clerical tasks and performing other essential duties.
7. Work may occasionally require more than 37.5 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.
