A specialty pharmacy provides critical medications used to treat people with serious health conditions requiring complex therapies. Optum Specialty Pharmacy (OSP) takes a hands-on approach to patient care that makes a meaningful imprint on the health and quality of life of each patient. Over the last decade, specialty plan costs have grown 20X the rate versus traditional prescription drugs. As a result, specialty drugs represent almost half of U.S. drug revenue, growing at 8-10% CAGR. OSP, the 3rd largest specialty pharmacy in the U.S., is well-positioned to capture this market growth and serve as an important growth engine for Optum.

As a member of the Optum Specialty Finance team, this position will support the pharmacy distribution strategy.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support the development of capital plans, cost-benefit analysis, and tracking of post development benefit realization
• Partner with the business on strategic initiatives
• Drive financial decision making through strong analytics and reporting
• Collaborate with accounting organization on financial reporting
• Month end close and reporting, quarterly forecasting, long range planning

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree of higher degree in Finance or Accounting
• 5+ years of progressive professional experience in finance and/or accounting
• Experience with financial analysis and forecasting
• Intermediate level of experience with MS Excel (Pivot Tables & V-Lookups)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience building and/or maintaining business case models
• Experience presenting to and/or driving outcomes with director level + leadership
• Proficient in creating and presenting polished PowerPoint presentations

The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada/New York City residents is $97,300 to $176,900.
