Your day.

As an Accounting Assistant you need to know how to:

• Reconcile bank statements to general ledger balance by utilizing the Blackline Reconciliation tool

• Utilize the Blackline Reconciliation tool matching functionality during the bank reconciliation process and researches any unmatched amounts

• Prepare non-patient revenue monthly journal entries for hospitals

• Reconcile non-patient clearing accounts to the general ledger balance and all detailed GL and banking transactions in this account

• Reconcile the CBRE AR general ledger account

• Research amounts in the non-patient clearing accounts and prepares journal entries to reclass amounts

• Provide accounting review and operational support of the non-patient accounts receivable and non-patient revenue accounting functions

• Provide support to Hospital Accounting staff as requested

• Participate in other projects as requested

• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities

• Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related results on a timely basis

Your experience.

We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:

• Associate's degree in Accounting, preferred or 4+ years of relevant general ledger accounting and transactional reconciliation experience

• Excellent research skills and problem resolution skills, required

• Above average skills in MS Excel including pivot tables, and basic formulas with vlookups, concatenate, etc., required

• Familiarity with computer technology and knowledge of a variety of software programs related to the field, required
