THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Cost Accountant, the Accounting Generalist will:

• Prepares physical inventory reports for the LaSalle plant and outside Tollers / warehouses, ensures the recording of manufacturing activities is in compliance with proper financial cutoffs.
• Ensure accurate inventory counts are maintained by:
  • Balancing the inventory accounts to the general ledger and entering inventory adjustments when necessary.

  • Performing periodic cycle count adjustments and collaborating with individuals in manufacturing to resolve discrepancies

  • Acting as the finance lead for the annual physical inventory count process, will serve as the primary contact with external auditor, provide support and resources to manufacturing to conduct inventory counts, and complete necessary inventory adjustments.
• Generate and distribute month end reports for various stakeholders, including but not limited to, Slow Moving Inventory and Inventory Adjustment Reconciliation.
• Ensure all inventory part costs are accurately reflected in the company ERP system.
• Review and reconcile bulk shipments, monthly via ERP system.
• Builds reports in ERP system.

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The right candidate will be data-driven with a passion for accuracy. Your credentials ideally include:

• An Associate degree in accounting or finance degree.
• A minimum of 2 years of accounting/finance experience, manufacturing and/or cost accounting background preferred.
• Strong excel proficiency.
• Experience in building financial reports from a data warehouse.
